SONGWON presents its extensive range of functional monomers

SONGWON Industrial Co., Ltd., will showcase its new range of functional monomers at the 20th International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, K 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Founded on 50 years’ of industry experience, successful R&D and a proven track record in producing and supplying high quality phenol derivatives, SONGWON’s new range of functional monomers offers customers improved leading edge materials that meet the most demanding industrial performance requirements.
Functional monomers are used in all epoxy resins, epoxy resin composites and polycarbonates applications – for example, skis, wind turbine foils, electronic components, eyewear, glass replacement, aerospace applications, cars and many more.
Backward integrated into several key raw materials, SONGWON has the ability and expertise to manufacture functional monomers from lab scale quantities to full scale volumes according to customers’ requirements.
SONGWON’s core functional monomers range comprises:
- Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD)-Phenol (as epoxy resin modifiers)
- Bisphenol monomers
- Fluorene monomers
“In addition to the standard range, our chemical expertise means that we can develop tailor made
products that make it possible for our customers to produce market leading innovations in their chosen

planning to further expand our range into specialty polyimide and acrylate monomers in order to be
able to offer customers the broadest based portfolio of industrial solutions.”
